Waterbury, and Waterbury Center, straddle Interstate 89 and are often considered the gateway to Stowe.  Waterbury is well situated for commuting to either Burlington or Montpelier.  You can also easily get to three ski areas, Sugarbush, Stowe, and Bolton Valley. 

Waterbury is the home to Ben and Jerry's Ice Cream, the Cold Hollow Cider mill and several other upscale businesses.  The area real estate market is booming at this point as people realize that Waterbury is a good location for a lot of reasons.
